From a Dot to an Intuitive Portrait in Nine Drawings
Would you like to achieve greater confidence in your drawing? Or maybe you have never tried to draw? Well, if Drawing is one of the things on your bucket list, you are the perfect person to come to one of my Drawing Workshops, because
We all need encouragement, inspiration, confidence and guidance in our creative pursuits. They are heart-felt expressions of our very being. Therefore, we need to be in a supportive environment, to allow our creativity to blossom and fruit. Being a sensitive Piscean, I really understand this. In my Workshops, we are delving deep within our heart spaces, to find our unique, divine, creative expression. This is, in fact, quite a simple process. We start with a mere DOT. If you can draw a dot, you CAN draw. The step by step process of layers of understanding will be light, fun, wondrous and you will be excitedly surprised with your new creations.
One great thing is about a Workshop is that, because there are from ten to twenty people in a Workshop, everyone receives my personal attention, and at the end of each exercise, we have an ‘Art Exhibition on the Floor’. We can see that we are all amazing and no one is better or worse than anyone else. We all are so appreciative of the wonderful variety of interpretation. There is no right or wrong. There is so much happiness, relief and encouragement.
All Drawing Workshops Dates and Venues are yet to be announced.
However, if you think you may like to attend one,
please email me your details and I will let you know
where and when the Workshops are to be held.
No obligation.
Our first lesson is to take a dot for a walk. This exercise gets us in touch with our emotions and teaches us how to express them down through our arm, wrist, fingers and pencil onto the paper.
It is irrelevant what this exercise looks like. Every person’s will be entirely different. This is not about the look, if is about your feeling. These are confidence-building exercises.
So, in the next exercise, and in everything else you ever draw in your life, you will need to incorporate the skill and confidence you gained in the first exercise. The learned skills and ‘secrets’ in EACH exercise need to be incorporated into the next exercise, so we get lots of practise and it becomes natural.
When it came to the stage of ‘beginners’ having completed a portrait, they were absolutely thrilled and in wonder that they did it. Here are some more images from my Drawing Lessons for Beginners and Others on cruise ships. You can do this too, and more.

These WORKSHOPS are for any adult. However, we start at the very beginning. I must say that ‘beginners’ are the most thrilling to share my knowledge with, as they experience a huge personal journey of discovery. The 1-Day Workshop focuses on the main points. My 2-day WS includes just about everything I know about Drawing. There is room for us all to practice and be reminded of the basic skills. Art teachers have come to my workshops and brought their pupils. Surprisingly, often, there is not a lot of difference in the final results.
Actually, I am really more of an Inspirer than a teacher.
When I am in THE CASTLE, there will be a two-year calendar with Workshops, Lessons and Other Events to choose from.
